Bye Bye 2009 :)

My last post of 2009 :)
I will remember 2009 as a year wen I actually started Living through 'The Art Of Living'.

As Gaurav Bhaiya says beautifully,

"Itna hi fark hai saans lene aur jeene me,

jitna ki hai pathar aur nageene me"

2009 brought so much for me...I still remember,it all started on 1st March..We all were really eager to go to the Anti-Corruption,Anti-Terrorism March at the Parliament Street.It was organised by the Art of Living(AOL)  and the Youth For Equality (YFE) :)
Before the March,I was an active member of YFE but after returning from the March,I became a complete AOLite :) I had never sensed so much Love,Bliss,Celebration before..Art Of Living people lukd completely soaked in something which was for sure out of this World..It was a total Transforming event which gave me a keen desire to know more about AOL and after that there was no looking back :)

To add more to the effects,on 26th March,I did my YES!+ n after that I was completely gone :)
Fuse ud gaya completely ;)

On 27th March 2009,for the first time I did my Sudarshan Kriya,a very powerful rhythmic breathing technique taught in the AOL courses.And it was then that I experienced my Soul....
Many a times we have read,heard that some life giving energy called Soul dwells within us...I experienced it...
N it was Mindblowing !!!
Life never remained the same as it was before... Understood the deeper meaning of Life..n the quest continues..With the Love n Grace of Guruji, looking forward not just to the coming year but to every moment coz in Art Of Living U never Know which moment brings which surprise :)
2009 was a year of starting the journey of Self-Realisation...Long way to go :) :)

If Krishna is around...Be Radha !!!

Krishna means the most attractive . . . It is the divinity that is the most attractive; the energy that pulls everything to it. Krishna is the formless center which is everywhere. Any attraction from anywhere is coming only from Krishna. Often people fail to see the spirit behind the attraction and merely hold on to the outer shell. And the moment you try to possess the shell, you will see Krishna has played a trick and you will be left with an empty shell in your hands and tears in your eyes.
Be clever like Radha -- don't be tricked by Krishna. Krishna could not escape from Radha, for her whole world was filled with Krishna. If you can see that wherever there is an attraction, there is Krishna; then you are Radha, you are in your center. 
The mind moves towards beauty, joy and truth. Krishna tells Arjuna, "I am the beauty in the Beautiful, the strength in the Strong, the wisdom in the Wise." In this way he arrests the mind from moving away from him.

So next time whenever you feel attracted to someone or something know that it is because of the Krishna dwelling in that person i.e. the attractive energy..Be like Radha..Completely centered,free from feverishness,in total surrender state..Complete in all aspects..
Only then can U get Krishna :)
So if Krishna is around..Be Radha :)

The Four Wives

Once upon a time there was a rich King who had four wives. He loved the 4th wife the most and adorned her with rich robes and treated her to the finest of delicacies. He gave her nothing but the best. He also loved the 3rd wife very much and was always showing her off to the neighboring kingdoms. However, he feared that one day she would leave him for another. He also loved his 2nd wife. She was his confidant and was always kind, considerate and patient with him. Whenever the King faced a problem, he could confide in her, and she would help him get through the difficult times. The King's 1st wife was a very loyal partner and had made great contributions in maintaining his wealth and kingdom. However, he did not love the first wife. Although she loved him deeply, he hardly took notice of her!

One day, the King fell ill and he knew his time was short. He thought of his luxurious life and wondered, "I now have four wives with me, but when I die, I'll be all alone. " Thus, he asked the 4th wife, "I have loved you the most, endowed you with the finest clothing and showered great care over you. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep my company?" "No way!", replied the 4th wife, and she walked away without another word. Her answer cut like a sharp knife right into his heart. The sad King then asked the 3rd wife, "I have loved you all my life. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep my company?" "No!", replied the 3rd wife. "Life is too good! When you die, I'm going to remarry!" His heart sank and turned cold. He then asked the 2nd wife, "I have always turned to you for help and you've always been there for me. When I die, will you follow me and keep my company?" "I'm sorry, I can't help you out this time!", replied the 2nd wife. "At the very most, I can only walk with you to your grave." Her answer struck him like a bolt of lightning, and the King was devastated. Then a voice called out: "I'll go with you. I'll follow you no matter where you go." The King looked up, and there was his first wife. She was very skinny as she suffered from malnutrition and neglect. Greatly grieved, the King said, "I should have taken much better care of you when I had the chance!"

In truth, we all have the 4 wives in our lives:

Our 4th wife is our body.

No matter how much time and effort we lavish in making it look good,

it will leave us when we die.

Our 3rd wife is our
possessions,status and wealth 
When we die, it will all go to others.
These will be dropped as soon as the game is over :)

                     

  Our 2nd wife is our family and friends. 
No matter how much they have been there for us, the furthest they can stay by us is up to the grave.

N  our 1st wife is our Soul,

the completely  untouched dimension  of our existence...
 Often neglected in pursuit of wealth,power and pleasures of the world.It
is the only thing that will follow us wherever we go.    

Cultivate, strengthen and cherish it now, for it is the only part of us that will follow us to the throne of God and continue with us throughout Eternity..

The 5 P's

My stay in the Bangalore Ashram during Navratri was blissful in every sense.I enjoyed the knowledge I got there n also there was knowledge in my enjoyment,for a change :)
Everyday I accidently used to meet some AOL teacher who would share some beautiful knowledge with me.One morning I met Ashim Bhaiya,Basic course teacher who told me something which I'll never forget for sure :) So,let me share it with u people also...
In life,whenever u have the intention of doing something..just remember the 5 P's.

 First P is Pyaas..Have the Desire...
Only when u will have Pyaas,u will look for water...
More the Desire,more are the efforts that will be made...







Second P is Prayaas..Make efforts to fulfill your desires..
"If u can't Fly, Run.. If u can't Run, Walk.. If u can't Walk, Crawl.. but whatever u do,keep MOVING..."  :)





Third P is Prarthna.
After u have made all possible efforts..Pray !!!
Pray to your Belief to make the Impossible Possible only after u have made the Possible Possible :)

 Fourth P is Pratiksha. Have Patience..
Have this much faith that it might be late but your prayers will be answered for sure..After all, HE has to keep up the Faith of so many :)
So,do some Pratiksha..

And the final P is Prasaad.. 
After u have crossed all the previous 4 P stages,u will get the result..
May not be the BEST in the world..but guaranteedly BEST for u.. :)








That day I realised how wrong my approach was towards my intention..Pyaas was there for sure but then I straightaway jumped to Prarthna..after that lil bit Prayaas and then feverish about Prasaad every now n then :)

Letting GO.....

" Enjoy the world, without getting attached to it. You have to take a deep breath in.But you can’t hold onto it.You have to let go (of the breath) to enjoy the fresh air.In life, it is the same thing. Letting go is important. " - Sri Sri


Letting go brings flow in your life where as holding on brings stagnancy.Letting go makes you flow like the Ganga n holding on makes you stagnant just like the Yamuna.A little awareness and one can learn the art of 'Letting Go'.
Look at everything with Equanimity or sama-drishti. That is, have this awareness that everything is equal for you no matter how big or how small,no matter how special or how ordinary..
You'll feel less attached n letting go will become so easier :)
Guruji says " Life beyond Time n Events is what you are ".
'Let Go' n explore THAT which is beyond Time n Events :)
Life will move with a Blissful Flow,
The only thing u need to do is Let Go :)

Happy Children's Day!!!

I was missing my School days so badly today n I actually realised kaafi time ho gaya School chode hue.... :(
I remembered how enthusiastic our teachers used to be on 13th (One day before the Children's Day).How they used to tell us k there is some surprise waiting for u tomorrow.
N everyone of us knew what all will be happening the very next day...because it had been like that since the past dont know how many years ;)
Silly morning assembly conducted by our teachers...Everything wrapped in childishness (I wonder if there is ne word like that.. :) Khair..)It was a day when our teachers actually behaved like kids..What seemed to be very stupid at that time looks very fascinating now...
So on this day...


Lets be aware of the Innocence,Playfulness,Freedom n Purity dwelling in us...





Lets learn from them 'The Art Of Living'......
How one can be Innocent without being Stupid :)
How to Live in each n every moment...
How to Love unconditionally...
How one can be so joyful after crying for hours...

In our Vedas,the word 'Guru' has been described beautifully through the following lines :-

One day I was wondering whether there is any difference between a 'Teacher' n 'Guru'.After doing some research,I came up with some beautiful differences..Have a look :)

My Adventurous Bengaluru trip - I :)

It was 22nd Sep,I clearly remember. We had returned from BITS Pilani the very same morning after attending the last day of YES!+ (Art of Living Workshop for Youth).After doing the fun n masti when I came back to my Hostel, I was not at all feeling pleasant. I felt so bad, discontented about something.Never felt so restless n feverish before.So,I missed my college that day n luckily,classes didn't happen also :) In the evening time,I was talking to my friend Surbhi and she told me that she would be going to Gujarat for a week to meet her father as very few classes were happening.She suggested me to go to my hometown as it had been quite a long time that I went to my home.Suddenly don't know how..idea of going to the Ashram came in my mind.Saleel Bhaiya, Vishal Sir, Rohit Bhaiya, Nitin Bhaiya had asked me so many times to come to Bangalore Ashram which is the International centre of 'The Art Of Living' for Navratri celebration.

But that was the day when my Desire became Intention. So,I told her that I'll be going to Bangalore.She told me to go only if my parents allowed.So I lied :) I told her that my parents have already agreed n I asked her not to tell anybody else.For the first time in my life I felt that Guruji was calling me n I should go without giving it any second thought.So I started packing my bag.I went to Warden Ma'am n told her that my Grandfather wasn't well n I needed to leave urgently nxt morning for bangalore.She gave me leave.I am really sorry that I lied to her and so many other people but I had made up my mind and nothing in the world cud stop me then.The very next morning I went for ticket booking n got 85 in waiting.Still my Sankalpa was very strong. My friends dropped me at the station the very same evening and my ticket status ws 8 in waiting.

At 9pm,the train started moving.I was feeling a little insecure..How will I spend the nxt 40 hrs in this train?But still the Faith was there :) People of the compartment in which I was sitting were going to Shirdi.They were really very helpful n caring.They had booked tickets for their small kids also.So they gave me an entire berth to sleep. Guruji always says "Have faith.Know that everything is being done for u.U r being taken care of" I was feeling so grateful n blessed..I was actually living in knowledge for those moments.The rest of the journey was so blissful.Felt like I was travelling with my own family.The chit-chat session,eating together,laughing together...n so many things :) Everything ws goin so smoothly when suddenly my phone rang n to my horror,it was my Mumma's call.The Train was at some station.I quickly picked up the phone n started talking normally to her.Suddenly we heard a loud announcement "Kripya dhyan dijiye..."."Where r u ???" was her next question."Mumma,I came to drop one of my friend to the station".I answered spontaneously.Mind..right here..right now really helps.. :) God!!! I was saved. So.the journey continued n I felt a lot of things during those 40 hours.Excitement of what next,what next..Fear of reaching safely..Doubt on everyone including myself..Gratitude n Love for people around me..n most importantly,Faith in my Guru... So on 25th Sep at 1:30 pm,I reached Bangalore stn.Ashram is 36 km from there.I came out n started looking for an auto but cudn't find any.I told Guruji "Poore raaste problem nahi hui..Ab aisa karoge kya??".Suddenly,one autowala came from somewhere n asked me where I wanted to go.I told him "Sri Sri Ravishankar Ashram".He said,"Achcha..Guruji ke ashram jayengi". I was so happy to hear this....I was just one hour away from my destination :) What happened next???? To be continued......

The UNSAID Story of Aman...

Do u remember Aman...Aman Kachroo??? Ist yr MBBS student in Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College,Tanda (H.P).Who lost his life just because some so-called 'to be doctors' tortured him in the name of Friendly Introduction..

TO AMAN

To a boy who could be a doctor

but who definitely was

a good human,

a good son,

a good brother,

a good friend,

or even a good lover.

To a boy who could have victimised but who became a victim,

To a boy who desired to see the brightness of the Sun

but was lost somewhere in the darkness of the night,

To a boy who revealed to the world dat

how dirty this fun-game called RAGGING cud be..

To a boy who made me realise that I was a 'mere puppet',

To a boy who woke me up from my sleep,

To a boy who made me take a pledge that " I'll not be involved in this brutal act

n will resist others from doing so,consciously or unconsciously"

To a boy who made me realise that in my life

i'll get a beautiful chance to meet him again

may be as a senior,a batchmate or a friend,

To a boy who wants me to show this love,this care when I get to meet him again,

To a boy who shook my conscience,

To a boy whose soul is resting in peace

but has left for us many Unanswered Questions,

"How long will dis continue?"

"How many more 'Aman' do we have to lose?"

To a boy who is waiting for an answer,

To a boy who wants everyone to say

"No to Ragging",

To a boy who deserved to live more,

To a boy who wants a change,

To a boy who has inspired ME to be the

CHANGE !!!

Please say "No to Ragging".Remember,the innocent life lost due to this brutal act could be your brother,sister,relative or friend..Stop Torturing in the name of Introduction..Dont forget 'We r Humans'!!!

From Artificial Living to the Art of Living :)

I had heard about the Art of Living when I was in 11th standard.Actually my brother's friend who was preparing for medical exams failed to clear through and went in depression. My father told me k her parents are making her do Art of Living's course. That was the first impression. Simply,its not for NORMAL people like me... :)

Dat time I didnt know k very soon i m goin to be an integral part of AOL n am not goin to stay NORMAL anymore :)

So,then came the Historical day i.e. 26th March 09 when I did my YES!+ (Youth Empowerment Skills) course with Vishal Sir, IIT Delhi pass out and an amazing amazing teacher...Here is his pic

Before doing the course I was pretty sure dat I'll regret later k "Y did I waste so much time that too just before my exams!!!".There was regret...But the feelings were "Oh God !!! Y didnt I do it before? What made me wait for so long??? Was I sleeping all these years???"

N u wont believe but those 7 days of the course were 'THE BEST' days of my life :)

And my life changed beautifully after that.I realised what I actually am.Purpose of my life became more clear.I seriously loved the workshop.In 7 days,I completely changed (for good,surely :) ). I am always Happy now. I always carry a 70mm smile which is a hallmark of the Art of Living :)

So,all the people out there who havent done the Art of Living course...Just do it :)

I dont want u people to regret just like me.... :)

Stop living your life artificially n learn the Art of Living :) ;)

My views about LOVE :)

SO WHEN IS IT CALLED LOVE?


I think I am in love again,

Just as fast as a 'Rajdhani' train,

The amazing desire to live and die,

Life questioning-"I am repeating the same mistake.Why?".

Seconds will be like minutes now,

Minutes will be hours n

hours will be like days,

I know everyone says..

Is it really LOVE?

That really lovely love?

Or is it just very fake?

What the answer is,my mind couldn't make.

Doubtful about my own feelings,

hope it will not end up like the previous dealings,

I turned off the lights,

to keep such thoughts out of my sight.

And then I woke up in my dreams,

and heard my own screams.

Waiting for someone to rescue,

answers to my questions who just knew.

GOD himself then came down,

Wearing a white colored gown,

I flew to him like a little dove,

n asked him "So when is it called LOVE?"

He looked at me and smiled,

His eyes glimmered and shined.

"It is called LOVE when

u dont have to search for an answer anymore,

and u realise dat who loves him is not only u bt ur soul,

u love him not for his bike,

but for those feelings which make u sway like a kite,

u love him for what he is,

and not just for his kiss,

Together- U n He !!!

is not the only thing to be..

'He loves u' is not the condition for u loving him

coz ur love is not fake

n there is nothin u wish to take."

I opened my eyes and heard the cawing of a crow,

"So when is it called LOVE",now I know..
